COUNT DOWN

COUNT DOWN

Antarctica Here We Come!!!

We are now in Count down mode!  2 days until we leave for Antarctica.  Excited?  YES?  Things ready and under control?  Amazingly more or less yes!  Fede and I decided back in May that since the first trip was on December 30th, we could go back to the USA for Christmas.  Our pledge to ourselves was that the boat had to be 100% READY when we left Argentina.  We lived up to that pledge!  When we left for the airport, the beds were made, bathrooms cleaned, fuel tanks full, all dry food purchased and stowed.  Fresh vegetables, fruit, and meat order made, ready for delivery when we got back.

We are back and currently in the process of loading our fruits and vegetables, meat arrives tomorrow.  Our scientist will come tomorrow to test out his equipment!  Brad Markle will be our scientist the first half of the season – read more about him here.

Now its just a few last minute details and we are ready.

Stay tuned to this blog (or facebook), as we hope to make updates daily once we arrive in Antarctica.  Our guests will take turns posting about the day.  There is also a live map that will map our position – check it out here.

We hope you are excited to follow our upcoming trips from wherever you are!

Thinking of joining one yourself? Check out our trips.

Sounds exciting and amazing that you are so well organized on the eve of your departure for two months.
Thanks again for helping out Randall Reeves on his arrival, today. It doesn’t sound like either of you will have much time to socialize.
Looking forward to joining you in two weeks.
